Petron Collectibles Limited Edition: Lamborghini Aventador

Boys will always be boys. And their love for cars is really undeniable. By the way my son looked at the two Lamborghini cars that we game him, his chinky eyes sparkled and his cute lips smiled sweetly, we know that he loved his new collectible cars. And not only that, I saw my husband’s childish interest over the new toys. He acted like a cute little boy and discovered how the thing works. Oh, I love seeing them like that, full of happiness and excitement.

These lovely Lamborghini collectible cars are available at all Petron Gasoline Station. Petron started selling these cars last November 15, 2015 and according to one of the stations, their promo will end only upto December 15, 2015. So, avid collectors of toys and stuffs, are now heading towards their nearest Petron Gas Station for them not to be left out.

We gave our son two Lamborghini cars, color black and white. There are also three more available colors: green, red and orange. The box is designed according to the color of the car. It has an authenticity seal with code (color gold and white) with text Automobili Lamborghini and Official Product Lamborghini as background. The text Petron Collectibles Limited Edition are also written on the black box. The Petron product that is featured in the box is the Petron Blaze 100 Detane Euro 4. At the bottom of the box, the instruction how the car works is shown with pictures.

How the car works (as printed on the box):

  1. Turn on the switch at the bottom.
  2. Touch the driver’s window to hear a start up sound with lights on.
  3. Touch the passenger’s window to hear a reviving sound with lights on.
  4. Touch the windshield and watch it go with acceleration sound and lights on.
  5. Touch the back panel and watch it drift backwards with the screeching sound.

Isn’t it amazing? You can enjoy the car by only touching it. This is another innovation made for toy cars for the enjoyment of kids nowadays. So what are you waiting for, grab one now for your kids and for your would-be-boys as well. 😉

Kid’s Corner: Dominic with his Tooth Fairy

Dominic is a very energetic kid. He loves talking to people and asking their opinions in everything that pops out of his curious mind. So, when it is time for us to take him to the dentist, as expected many questions were raised by our little big boy. I know he is worried, nervous perhaps, but he still managed to listen into every word that we say why he should visit a dentist. Now that he is already 5 years of age, his permanent teeth are beginning to show up but his milk teeth are still in place. So we decided to bring him to the dentist to remove his milk teeth which are now causing deformation on the new ones.

Here is how Dominic looks like waiting for his turn. He posed a bit but I can still that he is afraid of what will happen to him in the next minutes. He has to be brave to face his Tooth Fairy.

Dra. Carbonell introduced herself to my young man. She inflated 2 gloves to become balloons, just to make my son feel more relaxed. After a brief entertainment made by his dentist, he decided to have the procedure take place. In less than a minute, his tooth was removed. What a relief to see that my son didn’t cry for pain. He just asked a glass of water for him to gargle and spit the blood. Thank God! I have a brave son. See how contented he was after the procedure. I took a photo of him and his Tooth Fairy to serve as a remembrance of my son’s bravery.

And as promised, he had his ice cream after the visit. I can see in Dominic’s smile, that after a stressful moment, it is very rewarding to have a spoonful of ice cream on his mouth.

It is our obligation as parents to have our child’s teeth checked to avoid tooth decay. Take good care of your child’s teeth because he will thank you in the future to see his strong teeth.

Kids’ Corner: 5-star Reward in School

A single star shines brightly, how about 5 Stars? Five (5) stars stamped on the hands of my son mean a lot to him and to us, parents. We can see the transformation of our son’s smile whenever he receives a star or stars. His smile varies with the number of stars that he receives. The more he gets, the happier he gets of course. It is very rewarding also for us, that our son is giving his best in school. As a token for being good in school, a simple gift excites him.

Dom’s 5 stars

This manner of acknowledging the strength and capabilities of student really help in motivating them to do good in school. For us adults, counting 1 to 100 and reciting alphabets from A to Z may sound easy, but it is very hard for preschoolers who are just learning the basic things in life. So when their teacher stamped stars, great or good job sign on their hand, they feel that they have achieved something after a long day in school.

Like what Milo’s famous commercial tagline says, ‘Great things start from small beginnings’, these small achievements from our little ones can become great triumphs in the future. Molding and rewarding them as early as today, will have great impact on their personality and perception of life.

Don’t ignore everything that your children do. Nurture the gift and talent that they have. Parents should be their number one supporters, mentors and fans. Be proud of your kids! Let them shine like their stars. 😉

Kids’ Corner: Dominic Now Drinks Nestle Nido 5+

Nido’s mother’s day advertisement caught our hearts. Seeing how a grandmother loves her granddaughter dearly. That despite of naughty actions made by the kid, she still found goodness in all her actions. My 5-year-old son, Dominic, was a little hooked-up on this TV commercial, and said that he also wants to drink Nido for him to become the best kid that we want him to be. So with a bit of hesitation because Dom will be drinking Nido for the first time, we bought Nido 5+ for him. And luckily he liked it. Oh! Actually he loved it. He drinks milk twice in a day, one if before going to bed and the second one during breakfasts.

Adding to our recent interests over Nestle Nido is their newest celebrity endorser, Kristine Hermosa. We seldom see Kristine on TV, and seeing her on Nido Fortified commercial, make us happy because she has remained beautiful and classy. By any chance that she decided to return on films and TV shows, we, as her fans will really be jumping for joy. Thank you Nido for making Kristine and her son as your newest ambassadors.

From then on, we usually buy 1.2 kg of Nestle Nido 5+ to complete our son’s nutritional needs. We want the best for our son, so we are giving him the right milk for him. Give your child Nestle Nido and see his smile every time he drinks it.

Disclosure: This post is not affiliated with the above-mentioned product. Thank you. 😉

Kids’ Corner: Dominic’s Kindergarten Year (Kinder I) at Minds That Matter

Just this morning I attended the orientation meeting for parents conducted by the school directress of Minds that Matter, Teacher Amy. It’s my son, Dominic’s 3rd year in preparatory in Minds that Matter. 1 more year he will be in his elementary years.

Last year I posted Dominic’s Nursery Life at Minds that Matter, now, I will relate to you what happened to Dom in his Kindergarten year (Kinder I). School year 2014-2015 has been a tough year for our son. He was introduced into new and challenging experience like speaking in front of the crowd, delivering his memorized poem. At the early age of 4, he was tasked to deliver a very long poem entitled ‘The Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly’. At first glance, I was a bit nervous on how will our son manage to memorize a very long poem for a beginner. Perhaps, I understated my son’s capabilities, although he didn’t emerged as the winner, at least he finished the poem which is an achievement for a newbie in poetry recital.

Dominic’s Poetry Recital

Last year Minds celebrated their 10th anniversary. And as part of the celebration and Buwan Ng Wika celebration, the kids were dressed up into their favorite children costumes. And they were applauded for their magnificent presentations. I also made a write-up regarding that, Kids’ Corner: Helping Kids Conquer Stage Fright. We dressed up Dom as Rusell from the Disney movie Up. We were very pleased of our co-parents praises that the costume did match Dominic’s personality.

Dominic’s Rusell Costume

In academics, my husband and I were very happy that our son garnered an average of 89 to 90 for last school year, thus making him one of the Outstanding pupil in their class. So last graduation day, we had our chance to experience receiving an award for our son’s hardwork. Well done Dom!

Dominic’s Kinder I graduation

So far, our son is reading simple stories. He can also add numbers and is starting to master subtraction. He is only 5 years old, and I am very grateful to Minds for all the learnings and experiences he got. It will be a big bonus for our son’s educational journey to spend another year with Minds. I am pretty sure that when he enters grade school, he will be very equipped and ready to face a new chapter in his life. Thank you Minds that Matter and More power! Together, let’s make Dominic’s and the kids’ school year 2015-2016 a wonderful and fruitful one.

Kids’ Corner: Bedtime Stories

Bedtime story telling is usually done by mothers to their kids, in our family’s case, the father will take part some of the story telling nights. Before going to bed, my son will get some of his books and me or his father read it aloud for him. What we do in some of the books, we let our son read it first in the manner that he wants it and later we will just explain and correct some mispronounced words. He is only 5 years old and it is still acceptable if does not pronounce some of the words correctly. All we have to do as parents is to guide and teach them.

Father and son

Reading books take them into new worlds, new adventures. My son sometimes re-enact what is in the book. He role plays. He transformed into a superhero, a cute animal and a man of different profession depending on the story. By this acts, we knew that he loved the story and absorbed whatever values that was taught in it.

Parents should devote some of their precious time reading stories for their kids. This will be a very intellectual way of bonding with your children and at the same time, you will help them nurture the knowledge that they have. May it be night or day, if your kids ask you to read stories during your idle time, never hesitate to read one for them.

Kids’ Corner: Dominic Uses Disney Eskulin Kids

As mothers, I know we love to see our kids enjoy every moment of their childhood. Seeing them giggle with joy while playing with other kids under the dancing rays of sun, makes us realize that we should let them experience life with nature on its finest. But at the end of the day, I know most of us are troubled with the aroma of sweat that dries up on our kids hair. For our son, Dominic, we bought him Disney Eskulin Kids. Disney Eskulin Kids is a shampoo and conditioner which gives a silky effect on hair and leaving it with mild fragrant scent. Even at night, we can still smell the scent of it on Dominic’s hair. Give your kids shampoo and conditioner that are only suitable for their age because you will never know what harmful effects it will cause to your kids because of the ingredients that only adults can bear. Try using Disney Eskulin Kids, especially this summer season, you can still kiss and smell your kids’ hair even after a long day exposed to the sun.

Dominic’s Nursery Life at Minds that Matter

April 9, 2013 when our son, Dominic, entered the door of our chosen pre-school, the Minds that Matter Tutorial and Pre-school. Being our only child, my husband and I were really afraid then that our son will be facing a new chapter in his life, his Nursery Life. I could not stand the scene during Dominic’s first day in school, too see tears rolling down his cheeks and begging us not to leave him there. Good thing that the crying only happen on the first day. Brave little Dominic, came to school everyday so that he won’t miss any lesson. In fact he’s near a hundred percent perfect attendance. Minds as Minds that Matter is fondly called, taught the basic things a child should know. What is important is that a student of Minds should learn to read and write by heart and everything that needs to learn in life will follow. Children with little steps at first will have big leaps in the future with the right and proper foundation in the beginning.

My husband and I once talked to a psychiatric pediatrician and she told us that since kids are starting at early age during these years, we should find a school where kids will enjoy their stay and at the same time learn the basics in life. And there, we found Minds that Matter, and Dominic’s journey to Nursery Life began.

August 2013. The kids had two activities last August. They had the ‘Pagsungko ni Ina’ and their ‘Buwan ng Wika Celebration’. During the Pagsungko ni Ina, even though Minds is not a Catholic School, still the importance of religion matters to them. Our Lady of Penafrancia, Patroness of Bicolandia or simply ‘Ina’, visited the school. Children offered something during the mass held at the Immaculate Conception Parish. The Grade School students lead the vigil. And since we already introduced ‘Ina’ to Dominic at an early age of 1 where he used to wave his white bib or hanky every time he sees ‘Ina’, he enjoyed the activity because with limited knowledge of ‘Ina’, he is adoring her. Dominic even managed to walk just to join the procession. Another activity was the Buwan ng Wika. Dominic’s experience on Buwan ng Wika celebration is really a fresh start. We got to see that our son can perform on crowds. They danced and sang their hearts out showcasing some Filipino songs that they hardly memorized at first but in the end, they managed to perform it very well. My husband and I became his number 1 fans and indeed certified proud parents.

December 2013. Dominic experienced his first-ever Christmas Party. He got the chance to mingle with his classmates. He told us that they danced, sang, played games, ate their snacks and exchanged their gifts. He really enjoyed that party but after he asked me, why is it that it is not the same gift that he gave and what happened to it? Hahaha..

They also had their Christmas presentation. Five performances composed of singing, dancing and poem recital were done by the nursery class. And luckily, Dominic played as Santa so we dressed him like one. That was one memorable event for us, we got to see what talents he has and what he is good at. The songs that they memorized for the said event were still repeatedly sang by Dominic until now even if Christmas is over.

January 2014. The kids had two activities. The first one is their 1st Educational City Tour. They visited the Raul Roco Library, the Naga City Science Centrum and the Chin Po Tong Fire Station. The kids had a lot of fun especially when they reached the fire station where they were requested to do a fire drill and demonstrate how to oust a fire in the body. I’m so glad that Dominic participated and volunteered to do the demo. Another activity is the NCERIES. During classes, the solar system were introduced unto them what more if they had the chance of seeing vivid images of the outer space, that amazed our son. When they entered the inflated dome, mixed emotions were seen but surely the kids where all in awe to see the wonders of outer space. And as expected, after that activity, I can’t stop my son from telling us his wonderful experience.

March 2014. To be exact, March 15, 2014, when our son graduated from Nursery. Like their other activities, the kids offered songs for everyone in attendance but what we truly liked to witness during that day is when they had in their hands their framed certificate of completion and taking a vow in front of everyone in the hall. That simple gestures that they rehearsed and perfectly executed by our son makes us truly proud because still in the end, he followed every instructions that his teachers taught him and with that he deserves to receive that certificate. Truly Minds that Matter will be an indelible part of him.

Thank you Minds that Matter. See you next school year. 🙂

Kids’ Corner: Enfagrow A+ Kid presents Discovery Kids Animation-Maker Kit

My son loves drinking Enfagrow A+ Kid and he will love this milk more because of what is free in every pack of it. Just this Saturday my son was very happy when he saw this Animation-Maker kit. So when we reached home, he immediately opened the box and asked me to help him make this do-it-yourself animation-maker. And he was amazed to see how the pictures moved.

We already received a number of freebies from Enfagrow A+ Kid and they are very educational in form which really enhanced the creativity and mental alertness of kids. Before, he got Art Attack pastel coloring materials and also puzzles with designs of maps of the world. Continue buying Enfagrow A+ Kid and be surprised and delighted of what next significant freebie that they have to offer.

Enfakid A+ to Enfagrow A+ Kid

Mead Johnson changes Enfakid A+ to Enfagrow A+ Kid. My son has been using Mead Johnson’s products since birth from Enfalac A+ to Enfapro A+ to Enfagrow A+ and then Enfakid A+. I can say that until now we trust Mead Johnson’s milk for our son. Our son seldom gets sick and is obviously healthy. Although the price of these milk is somewhat higher than the others, what is important is that we are giving the best milk which offers a lot of nutrients for our son. And whatever be Enfakid’s name today, still we will continue to patronize it.
